ESPN Zone
601 E. Pratt Street
410-685-3776
Daily, 11am to 2am
The new ESPN Zone is everything you would
expect it to be. There are a trillion TVs with every showing
every game imaginable, the walls are draped with sports figures
and memorabilia, there are even place mats displaying updated
sports news. The food is average and prices around $8 to $20. As
you can imagine, it never really gets rowdy in here, as everyone
is glued to the TV. Also, the building’s inside designed to
give off the feeling of being in a stadium. There’s a sports
arcade upstairs and a small basketball court available while you
wait for your meal. This place is Hard Rock Café and Planet
Hollywood gone sports.
Downtowne Sports Exchange
200 W. Pratt Street
410-659-5844
Located just a few minutes from the
Harbor, the Sports Exchange is one of the most frequented sports
bars in Baltimore. You’ll find as many locals as you will
tourists in here. They’ve got the place surrounded with TVs
and serve some excellent bar food such as sandwiches, wings and
burgers. If you’re looking for a place to watch the game but
you’re not into those commercially exhausting corporate sports
bars like Hooters or ESPN Zone, than this is your place.
Shula’s
101 W. Fayette Street
Inside the Omni Hotel
HOURS:
11am to 2am
Fun-loving and friendly
bartenders pour generous drinks while patrons are free to mingle
and catch a game or two. Probably the most comfortable of all
Baltimore drinking establishments for the mid-twenty something
to the elderly in search of sports and good fun. This is easily
one of the coolest hotel-bars in town. Not only is the
restaurant/bar known for it’s sports coverage but also for its
thick, juicy steaks at dinner time.
