Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall
1212 Cathedral Street
410/783-8000

HOURS:
Mon-Fri, 10am to 6pm
Sat-Sun, 12pm to 5pm

Designed by Bolt, Baranek and Newman, the Symphony Hall has no flat walls or corners to prevent sound concentration. The Hall seats 2,462 people, all of whom will have a clear view to the stage. The $24 million Hall was completed in 1982 and has hosted symphony orchestras from around the world, as well as rock concerts. Two popular events that are held in the Hall include the annual gala, a show that kicks off the Baltimore social season, and the Martin Luther King Tribute show.

The Lyric Opera House is another one of Baltimore's main musical venues. It is the long-time home of the Baltimore Opera.
