Baltimore offers one of the most eclectic collections of museums to be found in any city. Where else can you find a classical art museum, an anti-classical art museum and a museum dedicated to Babe Ruth

The centerpiece of Baltimore's art scene is the renowned Baltimore Museum of Art. The largest museum in Maryland, the BMA  offers over 85,00 works of art from European and American masters.

On the other side of the spectrum is the Visionary Art Museum dedicated to outsider art, or art produced from untrained artists.

Besides these art museums, Charm City has exhibits that reflect Baltimore's history and connection to the sea like the Maritime Museum, the Washington Monument and the Civil War Museum

Located just three blocks from Camden Yards, The Babe Ruth Birthplace and Museum pays tribute to "The Sultan of Swat".  Built inside the townhouse where Babe was born, this National Historic Site is also the home of the Baltimore Orioles Museum.

In honor of the Babe's 100th birthday  this summer, The Babe Ruth Birthplace and Museum has created a new, permanent exhibit dedicated to Babe's years in Baltimore.

"The Babe From Baltimore" exhibit features photos, text, artifacts and audio highlights, focusing on  Babe's formative years in Baltimore  -- from his German/English ancestry to the stormy relationship between Babe and his father.
